Aproctella ist eine Gattung der Filarien mit 13 Arten.

Merkmale

Die Kutikula ist ohne Spiral-Streifung. Aus der Mundöffnung ragt ein Paar seitlicher zahnartiger Strukturen hervor. Der Ösophagus ist meist gut entwickelt, aber ungeteilt. Die Schwanzpapillen liegen ring- oder halbkreisförmig um die Kloake. Die Vulva liegt deutlich hinter dem Ende des Ösophagus. Die Mikrofilarien sind mittellang.

Systematik

Hodda (2022) ordnet die Gattung in die Tribus Splendidofilariini, Untertribus Splendidofilariinii. Lefoulon et al. (2015) stellten sie in die Hauptklade 5 der Onchocercidae. Das Interim Register of Marine and Nonmarine Genera weist folgende Arten aus:
