In September 2011, Neace Lukens was acquired by AssuredPartners, Inc. In 2015, Chicago based private equity firm GTCR, owner of AssuredPartners since its inception in 2011, sold the company to Apax Partners. In 2019, Apax Partners sold AssuredPartners to an investor group led by GTCR, retaining a minority co-control stake in the company. In December 2024, Apax and GTCR agreed to sell AssuredPartners to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in a $13.45 billion cash deal.
