Skylark Minerals (ASX: SKM) is an Australian mineral exploration and development company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. It is guided by an executive team and supported by a strong balance sheet.
The company was incorporated in 2006 and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in August 2006. In 2007, it acquired the Citronen Zinc-Lead Project in Greenland, which became its flagship asset.
Originally operating as Ironbark Gold Limited, the company later changed its name to Ironbark Zinc Limited to reflect its focus on zinc development. In 2025, the company rebranded as Skylark Minerals Limited as part of a broader strategic repositioning towards critical minerals and diversified resource opportunities.
Skylark Minerals' principal assets comprise a portfolio of gold exploration projects in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa. The company's projects include the Zaranou, Maphai and Vavoua gold projects, which together cover more than 1,200 km² of prospective Birimian greenstone terrane.
The Zaranou Project is Skylark Minerals' flagship asset. The company currently holds a 51% interest and has the right to earn up to 100% ownership. The project covers approximately 287 km² under a granted exploration licence in south-eastern Côte d'Ivoire, approximately three hours by road from Abidjan.
The project hosts an inferred Mineral Resource of 364,600 ounces of gold at an average grade of 1.8 g/t Au. Exploration has identified approximately 47 km of prospective strike with multiple drill targets that remain largely untested outside the current resource area.
The Maphai Project is an exploration licence application covering approximately 398 km² in south-eastern Côte d'Ivoire. Skylark Minerals has the right to earn up to 100% ownership of the project.
Located approximately 30 km from the Zaranou Project, Maphai lies along the continuation of the same prospective mineralised trend and contains regional geochemical anomalies and areas of historical artisanal gold mining.
The Vavoua Project comprises the contiguous Vavoua North and Vavoua South exploration licences, covering approximately 537 km² in central Côte d'Ivoire. Skylark Minerals holds an option to acquire up to 100% ownership of the project.
The project is located approximately 20 km along strike from the Abujar Gold Mine. Previous exploration included approximately 8,000 metres of air-core drilling, which identified several gold intersections warranting further exploration.
