Mai Nguyễn Anh
Mai Nguyễn Anh (born 1999) is a Vietnamese pop singer and a First Lieutenant of the Vietnam People's Army.
Biography
Mai Nguyễn Anh was born in 1999 in Hà Nội. His mother is the talented artist Hương Giang. He studied vocal music at Vietnam Military University of Culture and Arts. After graduating, he joined the Vietnam People's Army.
Career
Mai Nguyễn Anh began his career by participating in local music activities and competitions.
In 2024, he participated in the Voice of Hanoi competition organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, sponsored by Báo Tuổi trẻ Thủ đô and broadcast on VTV2. In the final round held on November 28, 2024, at the Hà Nội Opera House, Mai Nguyễn Anh performed the song "Thủy Thần" (composed by Bùi Hoàng Nam Đức Anh) in the light music category. As a result, he was awarded the runner-up in this category, along with the "Most Popular Singer" award.
Regarding his musical style, Mai Nguyễn Anh mainly follows the genres of lyrical music and pop ballads. He also performs contemporary folk music and international songs. He is currently holding the rank of First Lieutenant and works at the 2nd Military Region’s Cultural and Artistic Troupe. In addition to the Voice of Hanoi competition, he also performs at other cultural events.
