Miguel Cortés Miranda

Miguel Cortés Miranda (25 October 1984 – 13 April 2025) was a Mexican bacteriologist, parasitologist, and serial killer.

He attended the National Polytechnic Institute and worked at laboratories in Mexico City.

Many of Cortés's victims were students of his, fellow laboratory employees, and sex workers. He was finally arrested in May 2024 after murdering a young girl and stabbing her mother. Upon a search of his home, human remains, several identification cards, and surgical material were found. He later confessed to murdering over 30 women.

Miguel Cortés Miranda died in prison on 13 April 2025, at the age of 40.
