Prajal Regmi
Prajal Regmi (born 2003) is a Sikkimese social entrepreneur from Sikkim, recognized for his initiatives in promoting local culture and supporting community development. He is the founder of Ripra Clothing and has been involved in various social projects aimed at uplifting artists and entrepreneurs in Northeast India.
Early life
Prajal Regmi was born in Gelling Village, Soreng District, Sikkim, India. He grew up in a close-knit family with his father, mother, elder sister, and grandmother. His sister pursued civil engineering, while Prajal enrolled in a diploma program in computer science.
Career
At 16, Prajal Regmi began organizing open mic events under the banner "Nepanglish" to promote local talent and youth engagement. In 2020, he founded Ripra Clothing, a brand celebrating Sikkimese identity and indigenous art, later setting up a manufacturing unit in Lucknow to support artisans despite pandemic challenges.
