Guideline and policy news

• A proposal to include a speedy deletion criteria for books closed as no consensus.
• Userpages are now protected from edits by unconfirmed or unregistered users by use of an edit filter.

Technical news

• The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey Results have now been published. A number of high ranking requests will be of interest to administrators.
• Since 17 November some edit filters have not been correctly triggering on file uploads. See T153217 and T153251.

Arbitration

• The 2016 Arbitration Committee Election results have been announced.
• A motion that remedy 1.1 of the Austrian economics case be rescinded has passed.
• A passed motion adds to remedy 2 of the Palestine-Israel articles 3 case; editors must now obtain consensus through discussion before restoring a reverted edit to affected articles.
