2015 Jhelum attacks

PROD was declined despite the fact the issues I brought up were obvious and apparent. Wikipedia is not a newspaper and the lack of long-term societal impact makes this ever so more apparent. There was no post-analysis; the "background" is actually fabricated by news reports written before this incident with no connection whatsoever. Remember, we treat news reports as primary sources. I declined the PROD with a specific recommendation that the content could be merged into a relevant parent article as an alternative to deletion. Taking a closer look at the two parent articles I suggested, it looks like a new subsection at Persecution_of_Ahmadis#Pakistan would be the best target for merging, since the article about Ahmadis in Pakistan has a very brief section on prosecution which links to the "Persecution" article, which goes into more detail.---- Patar knight - ^chat/_{contributions} 15:46, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merge to Persecution_of_Ahmadis#Pakistan or Ahmadiyya in Pakistan - per Patar Knight. I'm convinced by a BEFORE this should not be standalone (at least the night of the attacks), and I'm not certain that the arson attacks are more significant than the subsequent blasphemy charges.Icewhiz (talk) 20:33, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
