Non-notable. Notability is not established in the two sources given- the first one of which doesn't even mention "Aromal Chekaver", the second one a few passing mentions- and I could not find other decent sources. --L235 (talk) Ping when replying 03:49, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

- Keep Popular folk hero of Vadakkan Pattukal ballads. The first reference [1] spells his last name as "Chevaker" pp. 341-4. [2], [3] (says featured in number of films and part of ballad tradition), [4] (says celebrated in ballads), [5]Redtigerxyz Talk 09:33, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

- Keep Ugly as this article is, there are plenty of other books that talk about this literary character. WP:NFICT doesn't help but I think the subject might be notable. Chris Troutman (talk) 19:00, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Keep -Subject meets Wikipedia's General notability guideline. Here are the sources, -[6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14], [15], [16]. The required criteria is "sources must exist" not that they are "available right about now". All sources I have list in my this comment was found doing simple Google Books search. - Keep -- It is only a stub, but we are talking about ballads (plural). If we were talking about characters in a film, I would want to see it merged back to the film: my rule being one franchise one article. However that is not applicable here. I am worried by "not true" at the end of the text: I assume this means "contrary to the traditional story". As I am no expert, I am declining to alter it myself.
