• Keep. Definitely meets WP:NAUTHOR per the many reviews I just added, possibly meets WP:NPROF#C1 per Scholar and possibly meets WP:NPROF#C3 if he is verifiably a fellow of the Royal Historical Society (which I haven't checked yet). AleatoryPonderings (???) (!!!) 15:27, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

• Keep. Plenty of folks who do not meet our notability criteria still have authority control listings. However, there are plenty of substantive reviews for WP:NAUTHOR; substantial library holdings for 2 books (per the WorldCat listing) helps support.
