The article is very poorly written in its current form, and definitely needs some copyediting and some additional sourcing, but the CNN source present in the article ([1]) does confirm ("Member of the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD for the 2009-2014 period") that he's held an WP:NPOL-passing role.
