Subject doesn't meet any of notability guidelines for biographical articles. Rotten regard 22:31, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Keep Nomination came a solid seven minutes after article creation. Looks like there's well over 100 articles on Wikipedia that use this author as a reference. Clearly somebody out there thinks he's notable.--Paul McDonald (talk) 22:41, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Please tell me which notability guidelines he meets, where is the significant coverage talking about this person? Being a journalist doesn't make a person notable unless there is significant coverage written about them. --Rotten regard 22:48, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Passes WP:GNG due to extensive coverage in multiple media sources. A Google news search yeilds over 1,000 articles alone. Authorship of I Love Oklahoma/I Hate Texas lends to the material, as well as him being referenced in several scholarly papers What's Said in This Locker Room, Stays in This Locker Room and The NCAA Should Adopt a Uniform Student-Athlete Discipline Policy. All of these items are easily found by clicking the links provided above in the nomination's "Find sources" section. Please complete WP:BEFORE (specifically sections C and D) next time.--Paul McDonald (talk) 23:01, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Those links indicate he doesn't come close to meeting the GNG, as he hasn't won any significant awards as a writer and no one has written extensively about him --Rotten regard 23:14, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
