The page is a mixture of unsourced BLP information and promotion. It was created in 2013 by an editor who only edited subjects linked to Teriy Keys/Smurfie Syco and was eventually blocked for a legal threat. I have searched online and not found any reliable sources: the online sources in the article are mostly dead. TSventon (talk) 16:18, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

- Unsure. As a singer, she’s probably not notable. As a model or designer, it’s arguable. In any case, searches online don’t show a lot of reliable sources. Bearian (talk) 01:45, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Bearian is/was she a singer? That is not mentioned in the article. Did you find any independent sources? I have looked again at the sources: three are not independent, the archived copy of the "Europa Star" article does not mention her, which leaves New York (magazine), which is inaccessible and not enough on its own. Oddly the article history shows the author trying to delete the article in 2015 due to "request from persons legal team" before being blocked for a legal threat. TSventon (talk) 11:30, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- If I chime in early in the AfD process, and it’s not a clear delete, and I’ve done at least some due diligence, then I usually just comment and ask questions. Let me think about this one. Bearian (talk) 11:54, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Continuing with my online searches, which I’m sure you have already done, I see that she has an album on sale at Amazon, Spotify, Pandora, and other websites; she also has videos on YouTube. She registered her company, ROAD, in the UK. That’s about it; pages of Google hits are not reliable sources. I’m leaning now towards delete for lack of significant coverage in reliable sources. - Delete per nom or redirect to 2024 World Series of Poker. He does qualify under the WP:POKER notability essay by winning a WSOP event, but that predates the proliferation of events at the WSOP (over 100 in 2024) and is only an essay. Why would you merge to an unrelated player? Clarityfiend (talk) 07:48, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- What I propose is the creation of a new article which covers the $10K version of the tournament listed in the article about Funaro but also who subsections the lower buy-in version of the tournament in this article. This is if the $10K buy-in event is deemed notable as the new article will essentially be about that tournament. PsychoticIncall (talk) 09:32, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

- Comment Article can easily be fixed up if wanted, there are sources for transfers and matches for the club. Israel does have good news coverage for Premier League seasons there. (The only three sources I can find, which cover this short-lived amateur sports club, have been added to the article. Being this, this, and this. All examples of less-than-independent coverage and mostly trivial-passing-mentions. Nothing which establishes independent notability. The only reason for advocating a redirect, as an ATD, is because of this AfD outcome. Whatever the case, a standalone title cannot be justified on the basis of the sources. Per discussion on the talk page (Talk:CAF Cepia), editors have asserted that the existence of a CAF Cepia or CAF Sepia model is not verifiable as of when this article was created in April of 2020. Searching online, I was only able to find a single Russian publication referring to a model by this name ([4]), and it dates to 2 years later in addition to otherwise being of unclear reliability and leaving some uncertainty as to the "correct" spelling given the high likelihood of confusion when transliterating s, c, r and p between Cyrillic, Latin and Turkish. Available evidence would appear to suggest that, irrespective of whether Turkish State Railways has bought trains manufactured by CAF, none of them are known as Sepia or Cepia and thus there should be neither a redirect nor an article at this title. A WP:BLAR was essentially challenged at an RfD discussion, with that discussion recommending it be sent to AfD. signed, Rosguill talk 20:05, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

- Comment I'll show my bias here, but this article, and others by the same editor, have plenty of sources in French (and some in Spanish) but I find none in English. I know that in en.wp we are not limited to English language sources, but if a topic has no relevance to an English-speaking audience then I do not see the *informational* value in including it. (I understand the desire on the part of businesses to get into en.wp but I'm not terribly sympathetic to that motive.) Using the logic of this article, we would import every article from every wiki into en.wp, but I don't think that provides the best service to en.wp users. I also agree about the possible COI but have no idea what to do about it. Lamona (talk) 02:40, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

If it is important for you to be listed in the Getty ULAN - could you let me know how an artist can be listed there?

- Delete - based on the source analysis by WomenArtistUpdates and an online BEFORE search. This promotionally toned autobiography is of an artist who does not meet WP's notability criteria for artists per WP:NARTIST, WP:GNG and WP:BASIC. Klaus (Rich KB), Wikipedia strongly discourages autobiographies because it's nearly impossible for a person to have a completely neutral, objective point of view about one's own self-importance, or as you put it, "success". Fame and success are not the same as encyclopedic notability on WP. This is not a reflection on you or your work, it's simply how the encyclopedia works. I suggest that you set up a personal artist website to promote your work. Netherzone (talk) 02:17, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

- Dear Netherzone! WomenArtistUpdates just states 'no reliable sourcing'. Can we call that an analysis? It is just a vague statement not more, not less. It is correct that my team does not have a completely neutral and objective view. If the fame of my works is happening in language zones, which you cannot reach, because it is Chinese, Japanese or Arabic - does that justify your conclusions? If an artist is not renowned for his works in English language - is there no place in Wikipedia for such an artist? I had the impression, Wikipedia is a worldwide source without any language limits. But you guys proof different. It seems that your information is just based on what you can find in the English spoken internet. I know I should keep being polite, but sorry, this is a quite poor attitude and also a narrow minded world Wikipedia is reflecting. - Delete early-career academic with citation counts not yet at the level needed for WP:PROF#C1. The article cites some mainstream media coverage of research he participated in (in the South China Morning Post and Irish Times) but his part in that work was apparently minor enough that he is not even name-dropped in those articles or in anything at all in Google News. —David Eppstein (talk) 00:04, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- All the mainstream media articles cited in this article are dedicated to research for which the academic had the leading role. There is no reference to research he simply participated in. The ScienceTrends article is fully dedicated to the academic's PhD thesis, and his name is mentioned in the article. The GreenQueen article is fully dedicated to a research paper of which the academic is the lead author, and his name is mentioned as well. The research covered in South China Morning Post also concerns a paper of which the academic is the lead author. His name is mentioned there too, and it seems that he had been invited to speak to the reporter/author of the article as an recognized expert in his field, as some of his quotes are used directly in the article. The only media article cited in this Wikipedia page that does not mention the academic's name directly is the Irish Times one. However, even that article is fully dedicated to a research paper to which the academic is the lead author. Therefore, no media source cited in this Wikipedia article covers work where the academic's part was minor.
- In terms of notability, I personally find it important that the academic's work is mentioned on these media articles, because these articles all come from independent sources. It doesn't seem that any of these sources belong to any of the organizations the academic has/had any affiliation with (unless I am wrong). For me, this shows that somebody's research work has impact and notability. Also, all these media are considered mainstream (I contrast this to other Wikipedia articles about academics, which cite various media covering the academics' work, but these media are often part of the university the academics are working in). Perhaps GreenQueen is the least known medium in countries outside Asia, but it is one of the most visited sustainability media in Asia, with 20+ million monthly digital impressions. Nonnotable speculative article; the sole sources about are the author and a single commentary in a blog. The author himself confesses that it was a tongue-in-cheek endeavor. --Altenmann >talk 17:02, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
WeakKeep. I dunno, it's been cited 65 times, which seems high for a tongue-in-cheek joke article! It's been discussed quite a lot in books as well, in addition to Tyler Cowen's commentary that's already in the article. I think it's arguable that this article could be treated as notable under WP:BKCRIT #5, with an author "so historically significant that any of the author's written works may be considered notable. This does not simply mean that the book's author is notable by Wikipedia's standards; rather, the book's author is of exceptional significance and the author's life and body of written work would be a common subject of academic study." I could be convinced to redirect, since it's likely a valid search term, but I'm on keep for now. Dclemens1971 (talk) 17:34, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

- Merge to Paul Krugman although it is probably necessary to create a new category there for his less academic articles. I note that 65 cites is not a huge amount, and there seems to be only one source that is substantially about this "theory". {$DEITY} willing we will some day have enough content for an article "Economic Satires on a Science Fiction Theme." Lamona (talk) 03:18, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
- I think the Economist and CBC articles that Jlwoodwa surfaced are sufficient WP:SIGCOV to constitute a WP:GNG pass on its own. Dclemens1971 (talk) 01:57, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- The Economist is a substantial and reliable source. The CBC article is reliable but not substantial - it's a section but not enough of one to meet GNG, IMO. Counting, it adds up to 5 sentences of which 2 are quotes. That same section covers the work of economist Zachary Feinstein, reducing it further. Lamona (talk) 03:50, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

WP:BLP of a lobbyist, not properly referenced as passing inclusion criteria for lobbyists. The attempted notability claim here is that he had political consultancy roles, like campaign manager or chief of staff, before registering as a lobbyist, but those are completely unsourced for the purposes of turning them into notability claims, while his work as a lobbyist is referenced entirely to a single directory entry that isn't support for notability. Nothing stated here is "inherently" notable enough to exempt him from having to pass WP:GNG on third-party reliable source coverage in media about him and his work. WP:BLP of a diplomat and politician, not properly referenced as passing inclusion criteria for diplomats or politicians. The attempted notability claim here is that he was nominated for a subcabinet position but was never confirmed into the role by the senate, which is not "inherently" notable in and of itself -- the notability bar at WP:NPOL is holding a notable office, not just being nominated for one -- but the article says absolutely nothing else about his career up to that point to suggest any other basis for preexisting notability, and it's referenced 2/3 to primary sources that are not support for notability at all. And while there is one reliable source to a piece of media coverage, one of those isn't enough all by itself. Bearcat (talk) 14:02, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

:* Keep: Removing the article is not a solution. The institute is very important to a lot of students. By re-writing with known and verified information, we could offer a valuable page to those looking for correct information.

:@CharlieMehta, I do not want to get caught in this controversy but would like to say one thing that instead of deleting, everyone should try to improve, because even today there are many articles which are not correct and the recent information is also not updated, so more focus should be kept on improving. Let's all decide together whether to keep it or not @Maggidi, @Mike20008, @Paul W, @Semsuineas.wiki, @Skajlajjn1996, @Timtrent

The article notes: "Edie Rodriguez (née Edie Bornstein), president and chief operating office of Los Angeles–based luxury line Crystal Cruises, is a 53-year-old Type-A personality who sleeps four hours a night, likes fast cars, and never met a Neiman Marcus she didn’t like. And she’s obsessed — with Rod Stewart. ... Travel got into her soul as a child growing up in New York, when she decided her quest was to see the world. But there was the slight issue that she had no money, she laughs. So she went to work as a travel consultant, relocated to…"

The article notes: "Edie Bornstein, who left Azamara on Sept. 30, will become president and chief operating officer of Los Angeles-based Crystal Cruises effective Oct. 16. She replaces Gregg Michel, whose resignation was announced Friday. Bornstein joined Azamara, the upscale two-ship brand owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises, in 2009. Before that, she was vice president of business development and strategic partnerships at Carnival Cruise Lines and also had stints at Cunard and Seabourn. Before working for cruise lines, she focused on the cruise industry at Amadeus, the global travel technology company."

The article notes: "Rodriguez joined Crystal after holding several senior sales, marketing and business development positions at Royal Caribbean Cruises and Carnival Corporation. She served as Crystal's president and chief operating officer from 2013-14 before being promoted to president and CEO in 2015, when the cruise line was acquired by Genting Hong Kong."

The article notes: "Since Rodriguez took the helm as president and CEO, Crystal has launched two river vessels, with a third forthcoming, an expedition yacht, and an ultra luxury, private Boeing 777. The three brands, Crystal Yachts, Crystal River Cruises and Crystal Air, have been instrumental in growing Crystal’s footprint in the luxury travel market."

The article notes: "Whether regaling travel agents at an elegant seaside resort in southeast Florida, or holding court for a retinue of luxury travel media aboard the Crystal Serenity on the West Coast in Los Angeles, Edie Bornstein, Crystal Cruises' new president and chief operating officer, is understandably busy. Appointed in October 2013, she previously served as SVP, sales and marketing for Azamara Club Cruises, based in Miami. There is a logical progression from Azamara's upmarket offering with its two, roughly 700-passenger ships, to Crystal's ultra-luxury brand, deploying two ships of around 1,000-passenger capacity. Consequently, even as a presidential newcomer at Crystal, Bornstein exudes the same confident manner and zeal as she was known for in her earlier career."

The article notes: "For Crystal Cruises CEO Edie Rodriguez, travel isn’t just a hobby—it’s a way of life. In fact, Rodriguez has traveled to nearly 200 countries so far. Chances are, she’s nowhere near finished. Since starting with the luxury cruise line in 2013, the travel industry veteran has been all business. Indeed, she’s been working to transform the line’s culture—and even the way people vacation, as Fortune recently reported. Rodriguez is building out the brand to not only include excursions by sea, but also by river on a yacht and even by airplane. And, as the only female CEO of a luxury cruise line, she’s also blazing a new path in industry where the top ranks are dominated by men. Rodriguez began her career as a travel consultant and has worked for Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and Azamara Club Cruises over the years."

Recently 123telugu was declared unreliable by the Indian cinema taskforce. Given that Indiaglitz is also considered unreliable, there are no reliable reviews (had there been at least 1, I would have let this slide). There was a FilmyFocus review on the page but that is also likely non notable (all unreliable sources can't be listed there). Given that the fact that the longest source is an interview from 123telugu, this film has no notability.
The TV9 Telugu source is a small snippet only mentioned that Vishwak Sen was invited for the film's launch while the NTV source mentions where the film is streaming. All in all, the only notable reliable source is the NTV source [15], which isn't enough to keep an entire Wikipedia article of a 2023 film. This isn't even a pre Internet film.
P. S. I had tried my best to improve the film's sourcing to no avail. DareshMohan (talk) 07:25, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Very unclear whether this group of "lower communities" which includes e.g. Sat-Sudra (considered higher castes), is a commonly accepted grouping with a clear definition, or some division created specifically for this article. Also not clear if the topic (Sanskrit texts by caste division) is a topic of study and whether these people are grouped together scholarly, or if this is some novel WP:SYNTH list. - The Wikipedia article of Sat-Sudra is very badly written. I have suggested an edit but my edit is reverted. Please check. Sat-shoodras are only higher than other shudras (asat shudras) and lower than every other varna. That is, Lower than Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishya. See the note on sat-shoodra there. Caste boundaries can't be clearly defined due to their complexities. The main castes are mentioned themselves which are considered lower nonetheless. Sat-shoodra only highlights their status in varna system. This is a dynamic list and more people from other communities can be added by everyone. The topic of debate has always been whether lower communities have contributed to sanskrit among scholars. This article helps in breaking the myths of denial of education and lack of scholarship among lower communities and foster inclusivity. Mohit Dokania (talk) 09:03, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: Fails WP:NLIST and WP:RS. Almost 60 % of the sources are unreliable. Andhraportal, wisdomlib, jainqq.org, sanskritkosha, sndp, sanskritdocuments etc., are not RS. As for the references in the article, two are from NAGA (not independent), one is from a local paper touting a winner of a teen-age division in three regional tournaments (doesn't show individual notability and has nothing to do with the organization's notability), and the fourth one says that NAGA is now banning trans athletes from competing against women in their events. - Population of a town should not be a factor. He deserves notoriety for being the youngest politician in Colorado history. Bobsmithian (talk) 06:25, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- According to Wiki there is basis to keep the article as it does meet standards as I created the article with enough legitimate citations showing he received tens of thousands of votes, spoke on live television and radio and holds a record in politics. @Grahaml35 @CAPTAIN RAJU. I want to make sure there is no political bias in this decision process. Bobsmithian (talk) 06:34, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hello - just because an individual has been on television or radio does not automatically qualify them as being notable for a Wiki article. I only mentioned the town size as a bit of information nothing more. - Delete: Small town politician, being the youngest in the state... Might be notable, but coverage is all PR items or "what is the politician" doing articles, which are not helpful. I don't find coverage, other than talking his high school/college choices. Oaktree b (talk) 15:39, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Delete. A person's age at first election is not an "inherent" notability freebie in and of itself — every single political body that exists at all will always have its own youngest-ever member, so that would simply create instant notability freebies for thousands upon millions of people of no national or international significance. So the notability test for people at the town or city level of governments requires a significant volume of coverage that's specifically about them and their work, enabling us to write a substantive article about their political impact — but that's not what's here, and most of the sourcing glancingly namechecks his existence as a participant in events without being about him in any meaningful or WP:GNG-building sense. The result was soft delete. Based on minimal participation, this uncontroversial nomination is treated as an expired PROD (a.k.a. "soft deletion"). Editors can request the article's undeletion.
A closer's aside: I realize that the sources are inadequate but it still hurts a bit to delete articles that have survived on the project for 20 years. I know that longevity is not a consideration in establishing notability of an article subject but, man, this article has survived a long time before being considered for deletion. I think some of our editors weren't even alive in 2004. Liz Read! Talk! 01:45, 16 September 2024 (UTC)

The result was delete. In this discussion, it was editors who were arguing for Deletion that had arguments based in Wikipedia policy. Most editors who were arguing to Keep this article asserted that the subject was important but we don't base claims in editors' opinion but in reliable sources and the sources brought to the discussion were rejected for a variety of reasons. One editor proposed submitting an article on this subject in the Italian Wikipedia and then, once accepted, translating it for the English Wikipedia. But please know if you wish to pursue this option, please put your translation in Draft space and submit it for review to WP:AFC. If you put it directly into the main space, it could be deleted via speedy deletion as a CSD G4. If you have questions about this, I encourage you to bring them to the Teahouse. Liz Read! About Friends of Europe, ‘call’ them ‘weird’ when they nominate by year the major personalities in Europe included: First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of various European Nations, various of the best european engineer, physicists & neuroscientist, Astronaut at the European Space Agency, major of the best sport personalities and in this case a supermodel, is not very fair. You can check it all the personalities in. LuciaS23 (talk) 10:43, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- My view on this list:
- thefashionisto - No WP:SIGCOV and looks like paid content.
- forbes - WP:FORBESCON and not even close to WP:GNG.
- americadomani - Doesn't look that bad, if this is a WP:RS it helps. I have no idea if it is.
- womanaroundtown - A little non Q&A content (WP:INTERVIEW), but looks like a WP:BLOG.
- fashionela - Ditto, possibly not as blog-ish
- wienermodels - not independent, might have WP:ABOUTSELF use, but no help for this discussion
- imago-images - webshop, doesn't help
- rizzolilibri - His publisher. Not independent, might have WP:ABOUTSELF use, but no help for this discussion

- Comment I've looked at the articles listed above and unfortunately not one meets the requirements that sources be reliable and substantial. What I see are short promotional paragraphs in fashion-oriented sources, interviews, and photo montages. None of these indicate notability as we define it in en.wikipedia. I suggest searching in mainstream newspapers and magazines. For example, I found this in Corriere della Sera. Unfortunately it is an interview, which means that they are his words about himself, not someone else speaking or writing about him. Also, a good source shows that the writer has done some research on the subject. Most of the web sites proposed mainly re-hash the same few facts (born in Germany, got started by chance, etc.). Even in the interviews there is much repetition. Note also that this person is young and may become more notable in the future, at which time an article would be warranted. Lamona (talk) 20:09, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Suggestion Dear @Lamona Thank you for your kind reply and consideration under our discussion about sources. If you are taking about English sources maybe you got it, (but there are many Pages of people not famous like him without a lot of source in wiki, and for his history its impossibile do not reconize him for the long works with Giorgio Armani(international adv on billboard in our city & tv commercial/and catwalk[44]for many many years - maybe he dont have many articles because is very private person and different then other models? I Guess if you see him on socials) but if you talk about italian sources on the italian Google, he have many many articles (not only interviews) about his amazing career and what is doing now with his humanitarian european school project where is nominate soon to became an ambassador of the new generation by the italian Parliament[45](source by italiano School/ministery of Education). He has written a book too with one of the major book company, and is not possible to see is notoriety, for my opinion. Why we dont creat all an italian version(where he had a lot of more stronger sources)and then traslate in English or complete the English one? Mine personal suggestion, simply opinion

A follow-up to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Korea Jesus Presbyterian Church with a single page nominated rather than a bundle.
Bosu Hapdong (Korean: 보수합동) translates as "Conservative Union". The only source is a database of Church denominations, which "did not manage to contact this church". This is insufficient sourcing to keep this as an article.
Furthermore, the title is mangled with an unnecessary
.character, and the Roman Numeral may be an invention of reformiert-online. Korean Wikipedia does not have an article on this; a cursory search in Korean did not find an immediate result for (or about) any group of this name.
For a potential redirect, it is unclear what the target would be: Presbyterian Church of Korea, Presbyterianism in South Korea, or a new page. Walsh90210 (talk) 00:32, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Delete. Reformiert-online is not in any way a reliable source, and I can find no other evidence for the existence of a church under this name, making a redirect unwarranted. Dclemens1971 (talk) 17:30, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

- Delete. Only citation is a 404 page. Even assuming that it was reliable, it appears to be a directory, so not significant, and having a single source is essentially original research. It badly fails my standard s. Bearian (talk) 23:27, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

Non-notable congressional candidate and state government official. Page previously created and deleted back in 2018 (though that was before her state government service). Of the 24 sources cited on the page: 5 are WP:ROTM coverage of her campaigns, 3 are press releases, 6 are articles about wildfires that quotes her a few times, 3 only mention her in passing, 2 are pages on government websites, 2 are recordings of state legislative committee hearings, 1 doesn't even mention her at all, and only 3 are actual in-depth interviews or profiles with local outlets. Someone is not inherently notable just because they ran for Congress and held a relatively minor position in state government, and the coverage I'm seeing here doesn't convince me she meets GNG. BottleOfChocolateMilk (talk) 00:20, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. You're right that running by itself does not make one notable. However, she's still notable for her work regarding wildfires which came after the page was deleted originally, and as I see it she definitely meets GNG. First there's this Sacramento Bee story, which despite being "local" as you say, is still 27th largest paper in the U.S., so it's not exactly a small town paper. This is also, though local, still notable enough to help with GNG I think. Then of course there's this profile which is not local at all. There are also things like this, which while they aren't profiles, are more than just passing mentions or quotes, and treat her as notable. If that wasn't enough though I've found a few other things as well via a quick Google search: this 2022 interview on KQED (second half turns into an interview of her background and life after talking about wildfires), this is a Dailykos profile, which although about the election still goes into detail about her; and finally here is another Sac Bee story, this one on her getting the Deputy Secretary job. There's more, but I think with the things I've already mentioned she safely passes GNG. Relinus (talk) 02:41, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

- Keep - I agree that running for Congress does not make Morse notable, but her work in wildfire resilience, having attracted sufficient new coverage, does. As an expert on wildfire resilience, Morse is often quoted and invited to speak on the subject.
- I had nothing to do with the 2018 article that @BottleOfChocolateMilk mentions. IMO deleting it was correct because Morse was not notable enough at the time.
- I chose the sources for verifiability. Here are some that, IMO, also support notability. Other editors may disagree on some of these, and if you disagree I welcome your feedback, but I think GNG is quite clear:
- Non-ROTM campaign coverage: Christian Science Monitor, Sacramento Bee, Sacramento Bee
- Talks Morse was invited to give because of her expertise: UC Berkeley, MyClimate Journey
- Articles on wildfire resilience in which Morse is quoted at length: Sacramento News & Review, San Francisco Examiner, The Mendocino Voice
- I will add at least one of the sources suggested by @Relinus.
- I believe that Morse's work in wildfire resilience has saved lives and helped California homeowners to afford fire insurance. Coverage in the news media recognizes the importance of her work. Thiesen (talk) 00:35, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
