• Or, rather, it is an article about a concept invented by Professor of African American Studies at Northwestern University Barnor Hesse, sourced to Hesse's 2000 book. What the article doesn't indicate is that Hesse's idea has escaped its creator over the subsequent 20 years at least to the extent that 'Transruption, according to Hesse', 'what Hesse calls “transruption”', and 'Transruption, as Barnor Hesse defines it, is' were the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Google Books results when I looked. So we cannot quite argue that this is one author's unpropagated idea, per the Wikipedia:no original research policy. Nor can we fully argue that it isn't notable, because it has clearly been noted, in multiple works by other authors. And applied by them, as (for one randomly picked example) by Randa Abdel-Fattah inISBN 9781351717823 discussing the transruptive nature of Islam in Australia.
