The subject has had a few well-cited publications, but I don't think we have enough to satisfy WP:NACADEMIC. Like many biographies of academics, the citations available are bios published non-independently by universities that they've worked at, interviews that give little context about the subject, and works written by the subject, none of which add up to GNG. • Strong Keep Subject easily passes Criterion 7 of WP:NACADEMIC. A simple search of news articles on google show that subject has co-authored articles appearing in NYT and NBCNews. Subject has been quoted as an expert in his field in NYT, Washington Post, Wired, Vice, The Guardian, etc. Sulfurboy (talk) 07:38, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  The page could certainly use some bold cleanup to ditch the promotional tone, adding reviews/reception of his books, and so forth, but AfD is not cleanup. buidhe 07:51, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
