The result was keep. Consensus is for the article to be retained and overall consensus is that the topic is notable. Per concerns herein regarding the article's quality, I have added the {{Cleanup AfD}} template atop the article. North America1000 12:20, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

I can't see how this is encyclopedic. To quote the lede, " This article will discuss surface preparation for adhesive bonding to titanium." The examples and tone of the article are overly technical, and the subject seems extremely niche. Article needs TNT. If rewritten, I am not sure the subject is really notable or encyclopedic. - Keep. This one of several student articles created by students in an engineering course at Ohio State University. While we have pure science and math articles that go into the fine details of very technical topics, we are lacking in good coverage of applied science and engineering topics. Engineering may not be considered quite as "sexy" as pure science, but it is equally valid that Wikipedia be an engineering encyclopedia as well as a science encyclopedia. It is good to see that WikiEd is helping to close the gap. StarryGrandma (talk) 22:46, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

comment The article does not seem to be about the use od adhesives with titanium, but the even more niche subject of the necessary surface preparation.TheLongTone (talk) 14:33, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- Keep Narrow or niche topics are fine because it is our policy that "there is no practical limit to the number of topics Wikipedia can cover or the total amount of content". The current state of the article is not important because it is also our policy that "Even poor articles, if they can be improved, are welcome." All we need to confirm is that the topic is notable and the sources provided indicate that it is. WP:TNT is irrelevant because that is not a policy; it is disruption contrary to multiple policies including WP:ATD; WP:BITE; WP:CENSOR and WP:PRESERVE. Andrew D. (talk) 19:46, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- Keep Needs going over with the encyclopedic-tone-alizer, but the topic is notable. XOR'easter (talk) 20:01, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- Keep, but rewrite The article is in dire need of rewriting, but the subject seems like something worth having an article on. Jeb3Talk at me here 15:21, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
- Keep - Well sourced and meets WP:GNG. I have tagged for expert attention. 2A02:C7F:4481:8300:90DC:E235:5074:54B0 (talk) 21:39, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
