- Category:Film series by number of entries (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Nominator's rationale: Completely random inclusion criteria; how is this a defining feature? I am tagging the subcategories as well, except Category:Film trilogies as films are sometimes deliberately made into trilogies (whereas I find it suspect that there are any media franchises constructed to be precisely seven films long.) Alternate proposal: Listify and delete subcategories, leaving this category with a few lists and Category:Film trilogies. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 21:04, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Addendum Note that there is Category:Film trilogies as well as Category:Film series with three entries. As I pointed out before, the former is a deliberate move and therefore could be a defining characteristic (I don't really think so, but I'm not going to bother fighting it), whereas the latter are just films that stopped being profitable after the third entry. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 21:06, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete all - The number of films in a series is no more defining than the number of television episodes in a series. There is no encyclopedic relationship between the Beethoven (film series) of six films about a lovable St. Bernard and the six films about illegal street racing in Japan that comprise the Megalopolis Expressway Trial, or between any of the other series that happen to include six films, or four films, or more than ten films or whatever. I believe that lists for these already exist, which strikes me as the best way to present this information. Are You The Cow Of Pain? (talk) 21:15, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. I pretty much agree that this is trivia but I think it is the kind of thing fans might seek out. Cruft, in other words. It may belong on the internet, but I'm not sure if belongs on WP. Maybe lists are appropriate. Good Ol’factory (talk) 22:34, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I've worked a bit with the film series categories and I've always found this set of categories to be rather trivial and odd. There is no defining similarity between all film series that happen to have, say, eight titles in it: it is indeed just happenstance. Of course, films per year of release is equally arbitrary: but in that case, we're following a broad and established category tree. I don't see that here. However, we will need to address the top-level category Category:Series by number of entries, I should think, if this one is to be deleted. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 04:01, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Agree that it's no more arbritary than year of release (compare two 2010 films A Serbian Film and the The A-Team for example ;-) ) Oh yes, delete, on being non-defining. Lugnuts (talk) 06:45, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Year of release is not arbitrary because it places the film in its historical context of time. Films that were released in the same year are related to each other because they were released in the same year. Number of items in the film series doesn't do anything like that. Good Ol’factory (talk) 11:07, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Even inclusion in this category is meaningless, arbitrary, and subjective, with any combination of theatrical, once-seen made-for-TV, and never-seen direct-to-video installments arguably qualifying. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 02:34, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Propose merging Category:Gay venues in Copenhagen to Category:Buildings and structures in Copenhagen
- Nominator's rationale: Merge. Upmerge as OC small with limited growth potential. If we get a reasonable number in the future, then it can be recreated. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:03, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Nominator's rationale: Rename. To bring these into alignment with the renamed parent, Category:Construction projects. And to follow the same naming for the tree. Note I created most of these to split countries out of the old category name. Vegaswikian (talk) 17:31, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
