- Nominator's rationale: Proposed renaming reflects article title (Real Garcilaso) which is the common name for the football club. Hack (talk) 12:57, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Propose renaming Category:Modern artillery of the United Kingdom to Category:Post–Cold War artillery of the United Kingdom
- Propose renaming Category:Modern missiles of the United Kingdom to Category:Category:Post–Cold War missiles of the United Kingdom
- Propose deleting Category:Modern British anti-ship missiles (currently empty as all articles that were in it have been moved to a Cold War category)
- Nominator's rationale: The word "modern" is highly ambiguous and best avoided in category names. See also Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2011_January_24#Modern_weapons_part_two DexDor (talk) 05:45, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- The use of "modern" (sometimes meaning 19thC-, sometimes 1945-) in category names goes even wider than that - see Category:Modern military equipment. It's too complex to cover in one huge CFD. There are other CFDs about different parts of the "modern" tree (e.g. this) and assuming these CFDs go through OK they may be followed by larger CFDs. DexDor (talk) 05:15, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment -- We deleted a host of "modern" categories as a case of a current/past distinction which we do not allow for categories. Personally I do not like the Cold War/Post Cold war split. However if we are going to have it, we should use "Post Cold War", not modern. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:36, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:14, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Propose deleting Category:Royal Norwegian Navy guided missiles (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Propose deleting Category:Royal Norwegian Navy anti-ship missiles
- Nominator's rationale: That a missile (or anything else for that matter) has been operated (i.e. used) by a particular organization is not a WP:DEFINING characteristic of that missile. These 2 categories contain a single article and that article is in other more appropriate categories (e.g. Category:Anti-ship cruise missiles of Norway).
- This is a step towards the deletion of the Category:Guided missiles by operator tree. Some missiles have been operated by dozens of countries (e.g. see Sidewinder missile#Operators). That there isn't an "Objects by operator" category for Category:Guided missiles by operator to fit under is an indication that this isn't the way we normally categorize articles in WP. DexDor (talk) 05:23, 8 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Actually, Norway has developed the Naval Strike Missile, but the RNoN is an operator of the weapon (many weapons have many operators), not its developer (which is more defining). DexDor (talk) 21:53, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
