- Nominator's rationale: Only one of the subjects could really be described as a pioneer in the development of cycling, and the inclusion of nationality in this tree is too narrow to be useful SFB 23:31, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
- Delete "pioneer" seems a bit of WP:OR, and there's no other category structure (for cyclists) that I can see. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:39, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

- Support most - except Category: Alumni by university or college in the Palestinian territories and Category: People by university or college in the Palestinian territories, which can refer specifically to peoples living in the period when Palestinian territories/Palestinian Authority were the terms in use (1994/1998-2012), whereas State of Palestine refers de-facto only since January 2013. Peoples who graduated in 2010 - were at the time in the Palestinian Authority (not State of Palestine, yet to be accepted into UN and rebranded by Ramallah government).GreyShark (dibra) 12:53, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- Comment to @Greyshark09: those are container categories, holding only sub-cats for each university. We normally categorise in that hierarchy only by the present-day polity, e.g. Category:Alumni by university or college in Europe doesn't include Yugoslavia. – Fayenatic London 12:14, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- We have Category:Alumni by university or college in the Ottoman Empire, so we should have Soviet Union and Palestinian territories as well. Ottoman Empire is not a present-day polity to the best of my knowledge.GreyShark (dibra) 14:33, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

- @Marcocapelle: that's not the reason for having the Ottoman category. The only alumni-by-institution categories within the Ottoman Empire hierarchy are former entities, or current entities' former names from the Ottoman period. If any institutions changed their name around the time that the State of Palestine started to be recognised, then it would make sense to keep categories for the old names within a "Palestinian territories" hierarchy; but I am not aware of any such cases. – Fayenatic London 21:05, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

- Comment Do you have any evidence that the sources do not refer to the various Indian people as far-right politicians? The RSS, VHP and other Hindutva-type groups most definitely are described as far-right, fascist etc, so one would imagine that people who are officials in those groups must be. And, even if you are correct, is there any reason for not proposing a merge with Category:Far-right politics in India rather than delete? - Sitush (talk) 21:17, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- I had nominated [1] and [2] for deletion. Other two were added by Marcocapelle. I cant see any sources defining Yogi Adityanath or Pierre Lagaillarde as a "far-right politician", but he is associated with a far-right group. This is why I had mentioned some of the individuals being "associated with a far-right political group". Categories under this title are only 4 compared to 43 of the "Far-right politics".[3] I thought deletion is better because existence of such category names will encourage creation of more similar categories. I am not opposed to replacing the category, in fact I was going to replace them already before starting this CFD but policies on CFD forbids it. D4iNa4 (talk) 05:23, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

- Question, can't we describe far-right politicians by more precise terminology dependent on time and country and use the term "far right" as a container category only? For example containing Category:Fascists, Category:Hindu nationalists and Category:White supremacists. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:15, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- Delete Category isn't useful, as is too subjective with no definite criteria and will hinder rather than help people finding things. Category has pages without any backing sources, the rationale is it is in a generic sense. Half of the entries in "Far-right Politicians in India" are not even "Politicians". --Gian (talk) 02:21, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
