- Propose renaming Category:Lists of songs by American recording artists to Category:Lists of songs recorded by American artists
- Propose renaming Category:Lists of songs by South Korean recording artists to Category:Lists of songs recorded by South Korean artists
- Nominator's rationale: This keeps in alignment of naming of categories under Category:Lists of songs by recording artists. I was going ask for speedy rename but these two categories were created 2-3 years ago, while all the rest were only created within the last 2 months, so I'm not sure one can say it is an established naming convention. - Comment what happens to the subcategories, then? I'm not sure I see the problem here, since smallcat allows categories that have been named as part of a larger scheme. SportingFlyer talk 05:09, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
- The subcategories remain in the tree of that particular city, for example Category:Buddhist temples in Taipei remains in Category:Temples in Taipei. It makes no sense to consider subcategories of populated places to be part of a larger scheme because that would result in even the smallest place on earth having a huge category tree.
