Propose deleting Category:Scholars in France (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Nominator's rationale: No real content. The note says "Note: Category:French scholars is different.", and it is. But no articles have appeared. It is a genuine problem that academics and scholars are mobile. We claim to categorise them by nationality, but it's very unusual for a biographical article to say anything explicit about nationality, so for people who move about we have to guess. Nationality law in most places is actually quite complicated, so it would be surprising if quite a lot are not mis-categorised. Rathfelder (talk) 17:54, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delete; there is no need to merge, as the sub-cat is also in the parents via other hierarchies. The category originally held Category:Collège de France faculty but most of the members of that one do, naturally, appear to be French. – Fayenatic London 13:04, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
