- Propose merging Category:Spiders in culture to Category:Spiders in popular culture
- Nominator's rationale: Category:Spiders in popular culture is the only content Rathfelder (talk) 23:20, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom, but add Category:Spiders and humans as a parent category to the target. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:28, 22 December 2019 (UTC)

- Nominator's rationale: Misspelled; corrected spelling has been populated with contents from here. Happy days, LindsayHello 15:36, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: no consensus. MER-C 10:13, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Information technology heirarchy is much better populated. Rathfelder (talk) 15:44, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: No articles Rathfelder (talk) 15:41, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: 10 articles, mostly about software Rathfelder (talk) 15:40, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: No articles Rathfelder (talk) 15:38, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Only 1 article. about a School of Computational Sciences Rathfelder (talk) 15:37, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: No articles Rathfelder (talk) 15:36, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: No articles Rathfelder (talk) 15:36, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: No articles, just 2 biography sub-categories. Rathfelder (talk) 15:35, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Only contents is Category:Bangladeshi computer scientists Rathfelder (talk) 15:32, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose all these. There is no problem whatever with container categories, which contain no top-level articles. There are thousands upon thousands of them, many created by Rathfelder (eg Category:Medical and health organizations based in Liechtenstein, Category:Medical and health organisations based in Mauritania). Further, Computer science and Information technology are completely different. Oculi (talk) 16:29, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- But apart from the Netherlands none of these contain any articles, and I dont think it's sensible to categorise software, especially open source software, by the place of its invention. It seems significant that there is no entry for USA here. I'm not suggesting deleting Category:Computer scientists by nationality. That seems a perfectly viable heirarchy. It makes sense to categorise scientists by nationality, but not their inventions. NB we dont categorise physics, chemistry or mathematics by country, nor even engineering or medicine. Rathfelder (talk) 19:48, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support, the distinction between science and technology is too fluid. The current classification seems to be based on shared name, e.g. 'computer' magazines have been put under 'computer' science. Marcocapelle (talk) 04:12, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

- Do not change Computer science and Information technology articles show that they are different areas of knowledge and as such deserve to have separate, parallel category structures. Deletion serves no valid WP purpose. Nomination confuses such different subjects. Hmains (talk) 00:14, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
- The question is not what is deserving. There isnt enough content to justify these categories.Rathfelder (talk) 12:29, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge. MER-C 04:09, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Every subcategory of this category has been nominated for deletion or merging, and the category itself only includes two articles, neither of which will probably survive for long. Delete as useless. JIP | Talk 17:20, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- Merge to Category:Transformers robot characters per WP:SMALLCAT. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:28, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge, also to Category:Rings. MER-C 04:21, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Rings in comics to Category:Fictional objects in comics
- Nominator's rationale: Very specific category with little utility. TTN (talk) 13:08, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- Dual merge, also to Category:Rings, per WP:SMALLCAT. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:32, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

- Propose merging Category:Transformers lines and sublines to Category:Transformers (toy line)
- Nominator's rationale: Seems like a pointless subcategorization. The parent category could fit everything. TTN (talk) 14:36, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. MER-C 04:18, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Per the advice at Wikipedia:WikiProject Gastropods/Categories and non-defining in many cases e.g. Tectus pyramis.
- Note: I've already removed some articles (that had no mention of Japan) from this category e.g. Turbo argyrostomus and Tonna luteostoma. For info: There is List of non-marine molluscs of Japan. DexDor (talk) 07:14, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: no consensus – a new discussion on the 4th-gen Xbox categories has superseded this one. – PhilipTerryGraham (talk · articles · reviews) 23:25, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Project Scarlett software to Category:Xbox Series X software
- Nominator's rationale: Most Horizontal Primate (talk) 02:21, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- Upmerge to Category:Xbox software, category only contains 1 subcategory. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:27, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- Move to Category:Xbox Series X software. Wouldn't make sense to upmerge, since that would mean it'd be conflated against all the other Xbox platforms' software categories. – PhilipTerryGraham (talk · articles · reviews) 18:29, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
