- Nominator's rationale: One article and a photo which is displayed in the article hardly merit a standalone category. Clarityfiend (talk) 18:39, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Your rationale is "one photo which is displayed in the article hardly merit a standalone category"... but the category's existence justifies this proposed deletion, my agf reply and an admins oversight?? Really? Victuallers (talk) 21:05, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support per WP:OCEPON. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:03, 18 June 2019 (UTC)
- Of course Support. A completely meritless category. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:48, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

- Propose merging Category:Populated places established in 1221 to Category:Populated places established in the 1220s
- Propose merging Category:Populated places established in 1255 to Category:Populated places established in the 1250s
- Propose merging Category:Populated places established in 1263 to Category:Populated places established in the 1260s
- Nominator's rationale: merge, we categorize populated places in this period by decade rather than by year, per headnote on the category page. A second merge target is not needed, all articles are already in a year category like Category:1221 establishments in Europe. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:42, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Merge per nominator....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 10:20, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Merge -- The current headnote on 1263 explains the policy. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:26, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Merge per nom and per guidelines at Category:Populated places by period of establishment. Greenshed (talk) 21:13, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

- Nominator's rationale: merge, we do allow category trees by ethnic descent, but how far should we go with that in the category structure? In the end the population of every region of every country could be treated as an ethnicity on its own, but it merely leads to large amounts of tiny categories. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:36, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Merge per nom or delete. Very non-defining e.g. for Emilio Nsue. DexDor (talk) 16:33, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Merge per nom. I sampled a number of the articles in several categories and most did not mention the descent at all, suggesting it was an NN characteristic. In the few cases where anything was mentioned it was "born in Valencia" and they were also categorised as "People from Valencia". Peterkingiron (talk) 16:35, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
- Merge per nom or delete. Most Spanish people will be of Valencian descent if one goes back far enough. 'Spanish' is quite sufficient. Aitor Embela is a fine example of how ridiculous these categories can become; and we don't (yet) know anything of his maternal grandparents. Oculi (talk) 18:54, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
