• Keep: The category clearly states "Articles about individuals who have actively worked for gun rights. This category is not intended for people who have merely espoused an opinion.", therefore, it does not fall under WP:OPINIONCAT. Absent some evidence that it fails that, then no reason to delete. If evidence is presented showing it fails that, then must also delete Category:American gun control advocates (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), or better, cull entries in both that don't conform to their respective categories. • Propose renaming Category:Fungi of the Middle East to Category:Fungi of Western Asia

Nominator's rationale: To align with how flora (and fauna) is categorized (more precisely defined non-overlapping areas). See related discussion.

Note: After renaming the category should be reparented to be under Category:Biota of Western Asia and a map added.  Middle East can include some areas that are not in Western Asia (e.g. African Egypt) so I'll check that all the articles belong in the new category. I've now checked all the articles in the category and currently (after removing a few that made no mention of this part of the world) there are no articles that would need to be recategorized because of the rename (e.g. if only found in the Arabian Peninsula). Many of the fungi have a very wide range (e.g. "Asia, Europe, and North America") so there isn't really sufficient info in the article to be sure they belong in the category under either name. • Propose merging Category:Football in the Arab states of the Persian Gulf to Category:Football in the Arab world

Nominator's rationale: this is follow up on the nomination right below. Option A: rename to Category:Football in the Arabian Peninsula; option B: merge to Category:Football in the Arab world. I have a weak preference for option B, as it is not immediately clear to me why we would need to have such a narrow geographical category for football. • Actually there are two differences in extent: Arabian Gulf states exclude Yemen, but include Iraq which is not part of the Arabian Peninsula. Nevertheless, Category:Gulf Cooperation Council gives the WP:DEFINING category navigation that we need between these states. Nominator rationale: The two districts of Austria, Mürzzuschlag District and Bruck an der Mur District, were merged in 2015 into Bruck-Mürzzuschlag District, but the category tree was not aligned with this move. For example, all localities in the two districts are currently categorized as Category:Cities and towns in Mürzzuschlag District which is incorrect. I created Category:Cities and towns in Bruck-Mürzzuschlag District without knowing this, and, as soon as I have understood the situation, I proposed a speedy move which was opposed. Thus, I propose to merge/move:

• Category:Cities and towns in Mürzzuschlag District to Category:Cities and towns in Bruck-Mürzzuschlag District
  • Category:People from Bruck an der Mur District to Category:People from Bruck-Mürzzuschlag District

Presumably there is not an established policy for how to update categories for local government areas in Styria.
