Nominator's rationale: rename, WP:C2C per Category:Republic of China (1912–1949) and purge subCategory:Taiwan under Republic of China rule. The disambiguator (1912–1949) is useful to make the distinction versus the modern republic of Taiwan. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:04, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

• In principle rename to prevent them picking up Taiwan articles. However, I am not sure why the first needs to be prefixed "history of ...", as everything about it is history. So merge the first into Category:Republic of China (1912–1949). Peterkingiron (talk)

• Propose renaming Category:Wikipedia GUS userboxes to Category:Userbox migration templates

Nominator's rationale: "GUS", standing for "German userbox solution" (see Wikipedia:Userbox migration), seems like a niche abbreviation and may be quite confusing in a category name. I suggest moving it to something more obvious, and since the linked page calls the meaning of this acronym (?) a "former" name, I suggest the new name employ the term "Userbox migration". ~~~~

  The "evidence" is that "GUS" is unclear to any editor not in the know about the history of the userbox migration. The very top of WP:UM says it all, "The Userbox migration (formerly known as the German userbox solution)..." — voidxor 15:12, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

• Rename somehow. That naming has always bugged me, versus "userbox migration", which is what it is. At first, I thought it was a joke. The Germans have a "solution" to everything: userboxes, high-speed roads, Jews...
