Nominator's rationale: This seems to be a standard instance of a WP:SMALLCAT with no potential for growth, as the "MAC-10 platform" consists of exactly 2 items. The third item in this category appears to only be there due to OR based on the fact it shares the general profile; while comparatively the 1911 platform is one that created many derivatives and makes for a notable category, this one is not. Propose splitting Category:Jammu and Kashmir to Category:Jammu and Kashmir (princely state), Category:Jammu and Kashmir (state) and Category:Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), and similarly splitting sub-categories.

Nominator's rationale: "Jammu & Kashmir" refers to three distinct administrative units that existed at different times and had different boundaries: Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir (state), and Jammu and Kashmir (princely state). The differences are not minor; portions of the latter region are today split across two nation-states, India and Pakistan, whereas the first two lie entirely within India. This category, and a large number of sub-categories, obscures this fact, and leads to considerable ambiguity and potential for misunderstanding. I propose splitting the category, and all its sub-categories, in the same way that the articles have currently been split: that is, into Category:Jammu and Kashmir (princely state), Category:Jammu and Kashmir (state), and Category:Jammu and Kashmir (union territory). The parent category may exist, but the sub-categories are not split: thus, topics that logically belong in sub-categories of Category:Jammu and Kashmir (princely state) are instead in sub-categories of Category:Jammu and Kashmir. I don't know how I could be clearer as to why the state and union territory need to be split; they are distinct entities, with different boundaries, periods of existence, and forms of government. Keep but purge -- The main article is Jammu and Kashmir (union territory). It lost the status of a state in 2019, but is exactly the same place and with exactly the same de facto boundaries as the Indian state. There is thus no reason to split between 1947-2019 and since 2019. In contrast the Princely State included areas beyond the line of control, which are de facto part of Pakistan. Accordingly my preference would be to keep but purge into the princely state category anything before 1947. The fact that the area has become a bit smaller does not mean a lot for categorization. The more important question is, are there a significant number of articles specifically about Jammu and Kashmir (state) such they can usefully populate a new Category:Jammu and Kashmir (state)? A number of entries in Category:Ladakh and its sub-categories can be placed in Category:Jammu and Kashmir (state), but not in Category:Jammu and Kashmir (union territory). The only things that are specifically about the former state are the constituency articles but they are already in Category:Former assembly constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir. Oppose - States and districts get reorganised all the time. Within the last decade or two, Bihar, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh got reorganised. Further back in time Punjab went through a major reorganisation. We can't keep creating entire category hierarchies for the happenings before and afer reorganisation. Propose merging Category:Afro-Latinx visual artists to Category:Hispanic and Latino American artists

Moreover, the category only includes two artists, none of which identifies as non-binary people, which would be one of the main purposes of the title. Comment -- The main article redirects to Black Hispanic and Latino Americans, so the target should be Category:Black Hispanic and Latino American artists. Keep Category is not for player characters, but for Avatars, the spiritual concept. Essentially, mortal characters with a spiritual connection to either a deity or other spiritual beings. The actual members of this category doesn't reflect this, and I'd still recommend deleting it additionally because of WP:SUBJECTIVECAT. We need to avoid naming a category something that is "a subjective, vague" inclusion criteria. If someone wants to put in the work of filtering this category, we could potentially rename it to Category:Incarnated spirits in video games (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs), to focus on the spiritual concept in question. First off, this was not created in error, as the creator created it to clear Special:WantedCategories since the category was at the time populated. It is no longer populated, so can now be speedy deleted as housekeeping. All of the above aside, this can be speedied per G4 as a recreation of a category deleted per Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 May 3#Category:$1 * Pppery * _{it has begun...} 14:32, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No it can't, because that was a speedy deletion, not a deletion as an outcome of consensus at the deletion discussion. Also, the circumstance then were sufficiently different from now that I think it is against the spirit, if not the letter, of the policy on CSD G4 to delete it as substantially a re-creation of the same page.
