Nominator's rationale: Non-defining. Per longstanding consensus, we do not categorize writers for the publishing companies that their books have been published by -- writers can publish and republish works with many, many different companies over the course of their careers, and are not locked in to one single publisher for life, so this would lead to extreme category bloat as writers were progressively added to another new category for every publishing company that ever released or rereleased one of their works. I've not been able to find any evidence of other "Publishing Company authors" categories besides this, and it's essentially the literary equivalent of performer by performance categorization. We can categorize the books by publishing company if any of them have articles to so categorize, but not the writers of the books. Bearcat (talk) 23:33, 17 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The sole-entry (and only possible entry?) is already in Category:Unbuilt casinos and Category:Unbuilt buildings and structures in the Republic of Ireland - neither of which is especially heavily populated to the extent that diffusion via multi-tiered categories seems necessary. (I'd also note that defining/categorising a topic based on characteristics that it doesn't have (including existence) is a highly-open (near infinite) form of categorisation - raising WP:CATDEF and WP:OCAT issues.)
