The result of the discussion was: merge Category:Legendary monsters to Category:Legendary creatures and Category:Monsters and Category:Mythological monsters to Category:Mythological creatures and Category:Monsters. This is a WP:BARTENDER close; there is clear consensus that the two nominated categories should not exist. Propose merging both Category:Legendary monsters and Category:Mythological monsters together into Category:Monsters
My reasoning: Honestly, there's just way too much overlap between these three categories. All of them are mostly about folkloric/legendary/mythical monsters that didn't originate from modern works of fiction. Nominator's rationale: Eponymous category with no content at all besides the eponym. This appears to be left over from an earlier time when we had a significant number of separate articles about individual categories presented by these awards, but they've all long since been redirected to the head article for lack of sourcing, so that the head article is all that's left. Obviously no prejudice against recreation in the future if categories start actually getting spun back out to standalone articles again, but it isn't necessary to retain this for just one article.
