Ian Lavender (history · last edit · rewrite) from https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/dads-army-star-ian-lavender-9078725. The paragraph has been in the article since at least 2013 although the majority of it was added earlier. This may mean the article in Bristol Live has the copyright violation but as pointed out by @The C of E: at Talk:Ian Lavender, the publication does have editorial oversight so I'm uncertain what the correct procedure would be in this case. The article is currently listed in recent deaths on the main page but I wasn't sure if it would need to be removed due to the copyright tag so I've left a message at Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates if that is the case. I think your own explanation on the talkpage is correct @Suonii180:. It was the source that was the copyright violation as that was written today and based on the article that had been largely untouched until today when his death was announced. In my view, its not quite an issue that means it needs to be pulled off of ITN, if anything its more of an issue for WP:RSN to see if this has happened before with Bristol Post/Reach publications. That's fine, as I mentioned at the talk page I have little experience with copyright issues so I'm not arguing strongly for it's removal but I thought it would be better to mention it just in case. Suonii180 (talk) 21:47, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've started a discussion at WP:RSN about the article. Suonii180 (talk) 22:33, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
