- File:Megaphone screenshot.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Nagle (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
This screenshot encompasses several non-free works, each belonging to several authors, which is itself a violation of WP:NFCC#3. However, per WP:NFCC#1, the entire image is redundant and words alone are enough to serve its very simple purpose. Codename Lisa (talk) 07:59, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Keep I don't see this at all. What "several non-free works"? It's a screenshot of one message from a single program. NFCC#3 does not apply. The image is not redundant because it is the only screenshot. So NFCC#1 does not apply. --John Nagle (talk) 18:17, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. The "several non-free works" refers to Windows XP taskbar, Microsoft's volume control icon, MSN Messenger icon and Babylon icon, so yes, it violates WP:NFCC# in a big way. In addition, even without these, it is still non-free and words alone can replace it. Hence, per WP:NFCC#1, it cannot exist. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 06:00, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Cropped image to remove icons from Windows toolbar. The argument that "words alone can replace it" would apply to almost any image. John Nagle (talk) 18:55, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- Taskbar, not toolbar. And the latter is a far-from-truth argument that chiefly uploaders make. The main purpose of this image just to show one sentence among the non-free decoration. That sentence itself is copyright-free. In Wikipedia, one should learn to let go of non-free things; although I don't insist if don't wish to. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 06:44, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- It's useful to retain the image because the content is controversial and involves a matter of public interest. This is appropriate use of non-free content. John Nagle (talk) 20:03, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Every article in Wikipedia is about a matter of public interest and all of them are expected to adhere to WP:NFCC. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 20:30, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

- Keep after every problematic elements were cropped out. It's certainly not replaceable with text alone. Armbrust The Homunculus 05:59, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

This is one of several photos by artist David Horvitz uploaded in his apparent 8 year attempt to disrupt Wikipedia by having photographs of himself (he is the figure in the right of the photo) uploaded in various places. Rasputinfa is his original account. He was later blocked as Superbrightidea and Albianmoonlight. —Ryūlóng (琉竜) 13:27, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

Poor photo of no encyclopedic quality, uploaded by a user who has been actively disrupting Wikipedia as part of an art project. —Ryūlóng (琉竜) 13:28, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

Fails WP:NFCC#8, shows a person receiving an award which is easily understood without the image. January (talk) 18:22, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
