File:Magicni teatar1.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by PeppermintSA (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Image contains a substantial component (sculpture or non-trivial costume design) that is a creative work by an unspecified artist. Commons has not found that Bosnia has suitable freedom-of-panorama. DMacks (talk) 17:43, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Spot-checking, many of this uploader's images are similarly problematic. For example:

Uploader was blocked on commons for repeated uploading of non-free content, looks like they're continuing that behavior here. DMacks (talk) 17:54, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@PeppermintSA: as uploader, you may wish to respond. DMacks (talk) 17:55, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Were the issues on Commons also around FOP-type issues, or importing entirely non-free media? I notice File:Magicni teatar2.jpg looks like this image from Magical Theatre Company, so I can't tell if we're talking about a connected contributor or additional issues around permissions. If the question is just freedom of panorama, I'd suggest separate FFDs for some of the additional images. Evaluating what to do with 2D murals is going to be a different conversation than the inclusion of some small dolls in a photo. Regarding File:Magicni teatar1.jpg specifically, this looks to me like a performer under a sheet in a stage production, so the copyright around a mask taking up only a small portion of the frame wouldn't have a big impact on the image as a whole. hinnk (talk) 20:39, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Spot-checking their deleted content on commons, they were generally claiming as own-work (and CC-licensed) things that were someone else's (often not cited, and no evidence of free license). FOP was what I saw in teatar1, before I started seeing a broader pattern. I wasn't sure if it was a masked performer vs a static sculptural object, but if it's a masked performer then the mask seems like part of its defining characteristic of one character and the whole scene is only two characters on a sparse setting (seems above incidental/de minimis). Prompted by your finding one on IG, I googled another and found Sarajevska zima3.jpg on Facebook.[1] DMacks (talk) 21:04, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Found the source: [2]. I'm inclined to treat any Magični teatar image from this uploader as a likely copyright violation, unless we get explicit permission. hinnk (talk) 01:53, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
