Wikipedia and GLAMs are partnering to improve the quality of information on Wikipedia. GLAMs provide subject expertise and Wikipedia has a massive audience. At "Wikipedia and Libraries: How We Can Get Involved," learn about the ins and outs of Wikipedia, the GLAM-Wiki initiative, and how your organization can get involved.

  • The five pillars of Wikipedia
  • Conflict of interest, advice for editors who may have a conflict of interest, and an example of a conflict of interest statement
  • Anatomy of a Wikipedia page (article, edit, view history, talk) - e.g. Rupert Giles; user pages

Editing tips

1. Preview your changes before you save them.
2. Write a brief edit summary noting your changes.
3. Don’t forget to use the help bar at the top of the edit box.
4. Sign your posts on talk pages by adding four tildes.
