We collaborated to update and improve existing DC Neighborhood Wikipedia articles at My First Wikipedia Edit. We went over Wikipedia’s general philosophy and covered how to add citations, update and repair broken links, and add images to enhance and expand DC-centric articles.
The event took place in the Dream Lab at the Martin Luther King, Jr Library.

Four Wikipedians helped out and socialized. Four complete beginners to Wikipedia made their first (or more) edits. Three novices deepened their understanding of (and edits to) Wikipedia, in part by organizing the event along with one of the Wikipedians. And, we all had fun!

Great work, everyone!
