Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam:The Muslim Guild/Articles for deletion

  1. WikiProject subpages - for project-specific templates, discussion, or guidelines pages

This Wikiproject subpage however has been used for the sole purpose of saving one user's articles that have been nominated for afds. The user does this by listing his articles that are up for afds on the subpage and then sending messages to friends on Wikipedia to "see the subpage" and they systematically vote keep on his articles. Needless to say because of this many times the articles end up in "No consensus" and therefore keeps by default. The following are a few diffs of the user sends to tell people to see the subpage for voting on afds:

In the past the user made a Wikiproject call the "Conspiracies Guild" where he was the sole active user to list afds and call others to view the lists to vote keep. That was listed by another user for deletion and was promptly deleted almost unanimously (See here for Mfd page Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Conspiracies Guild). This subpage is essentially a recreation of that and like the other one should be promptly deleted. Please note, that this is only about the subpage not the entire Wikiproject. • Keep. The page was a part of the Guild talk page, but it would dominate the main page due to an unamed useres effort. Since it would result in duplicating the lenght of the section, the section was given its own sub-page [[5]]. If the subpage is to be deleted, then the section in the projec page would need to be expanded again. Basicly, nominator has a problem with the guild informing its members of issues relevant to the guild. --Striver 00:57, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Striver. - Eagletalk 01:09, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep it's normal for a project to have this kind of page. --a.n.o.n.y.m t 01:50, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment This page is clearly designed to defend and therefore keep articles and detracts from the deletion process. This page is the equal of mailing users to vote. Joelito 02:37, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Many Wikiprojects keep lists of what is happening to the related articles. This list happens to be AfD only; so what? If you're concerned, watch the page yourself. Septentrionalis 05:51, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This page is designed to keep the main guild page from balooning and becoming to big, nothing more. --Striver 02:59, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
