For a while we had Wikipedia:WikiProject No ads, which was harmless enough as a statement of principle, but now we have WikiProject Yes ads, which means that instead of a single thing advocating no adverts, we have factionalism between two diametrically opposed "Wikiprojects", and advocacy for political campaigning by Wikipedians. • Keep both, useful projects. Note: there are currently 93 members and 100 associates listed on the "No Ads" wikiproject page. There are no members listed on the "Yes Ads" project, but there are 12 users in Category:Wikipedians who think that the Wikimedia Foundation should use advertising (and 713 users in Category:Wikipedians against advertisements). Given these numbers, in my opinion, deletion of these WikiProjects (or the No Ads one, anyway) with less than several hundred delete votes would be against a clearly evident consensus. ~leif ☺ _(talk) 06:50, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
