The result of the debate was Speedy Delete, CSD G3, non-admin close. Redfarmer (talk) 19:26, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Implausible redirect. Appears to come from an editor who has only been engaged in vandalism today. Serves no encyclopedic purpose. Redfarmer (talk) 17:08, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete as nonsense. David Pro (talk) 18:12, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy delete, pretty obvious as to why. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 19:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
The result of the debate was Re-targeted to United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus. -- JLaTondre (talk) 12:40, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
No reference to this "DMZ" anywhere. Suggestion deletion of this unlikely, vague redirect. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 05:14, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
KeepI found the explanation in DMZ. It stands for "De-Militarized Zone" JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 05:57, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, it looks like a recent edit removed the link from the dab to the redirect, but it used to be there.[1] JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 06:00, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Comment what becomes of the link? Change of target? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 06:01, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Boldly retargeted to United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus (side issue: I urge a merge of Green Line (Cyprus) into target article). "DMZ Cyprus" is not close to the actual name of the buffer zone, but I can conceive of the possibility of someone entering the phrase into the search engine.B.Wind (talk) 03:55, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Why doesn't United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus mention "DMZ Cyprus"? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 06:36, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know much about this subject, but I'd imagine the demilitarized zone is the UN buffer zone. Agree with the merge; speedy keep with new target. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 18:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- The target article doesn't mention "DMZ Cyprus" because there isn't anything by that name. It's the United Nations Buffer Zone. That's it. It straddles the Green Line.147.70.242.40 (talk) 20:15, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep as redirect to United Nations Buffer Zone in Cyprus. 'DMZ Cyprus' seems a fairly unlikely search term, but not a completely implausible one, and if someone enters it this is presumably what they would be looking for Terraxos (talk) 03:03, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Readers would be a little more likely to type 'Cyprus DMZ', but it makes sense to keep it as useful. Nyttend (talk) 00:02, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
