Chair throwing → Chair
Unlikely self-referential search term ˉˉanetode╦╩ 22:03, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Retarget to Bob Knight#1980s, which discusses his infamous chair-throwing episode. B.Wind (talk) 01:05, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Keep as the result of an AFD. --UsaSatsui (talk) 21:15, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Retarget per Wind's suggestion above. A bit of quirky humor won't kill WP ;-) Alternatively, retarget to Temper tantrum.--Goodmorningworld (talk) 16:14, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Redirect to Goodmorningworld's latter suggestion, temper tantrum.
A lot ofManySome people throw chairs when they're mad, so it's non-specific to any one person. --Izno (talk) 00:04, 11 November 2008 (UTC) - Retarget per B.Wind, above. Redirects are held to a much lower standard of NPOV, so redirecting to Bob Knight, who is famous for that incident, doesn't violate any policy in my view. The previous Afd mentioned by User:UsaSatsui did not actually result in a consensus to redirect. Temper tantrum is not a valid redirect in this case because chair throwing is not covered at all in that article. B.Wind's suggestion is the only one that holds any water, other than deletion. (I would favor deletion over retargeting to Temper tantrum).--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 08:45, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
The Temporal Integrity Commission is a fictional agency within the Star Trek Universe that enforces temporal policy and protects the timeline from being altered by time travels. However, it makes no sense to redirect this to Trials and Tribble-ations, an episode on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as a tribute to The Original Series. Recommending deletion of redirect. Knippschild (talk) 19:28, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - interaction between main character and the TIC (pardon the abbreviation) actually propels the episode. While it is fleetingly mentioned in the Star Trek: Voyager and (to a more significant level) Star Trek: Enterprise) series, it makes its most significant "appearance" here, but it's not significant enough for its own article.B.Wind (talk) 19:42, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - mentioned in target article. I am ok with retargeting if a better target is found.--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 08:40, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
There wre two earthquake in Afghanistn in 1998 and so there are two articles May 30, 1998 Afghanistan earthquake and February 4, 1998 Afghanistan earthquake. What about the February earthquake? Redirecting 1998 Afghanistan earthquake to the May earthquake will be misleading. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 09:11, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Simple. This redirect should be a disambiguation page. Simply south (talk) 12:16, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Speedy close I turned this into a dab page. Problem solved. ~the editorofthewiki (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 15:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Various → Presidential transition of Barack Obama
<span id="Presidential transition of Barack Obama " /
- Presidency of Barack H Obama II
- Barack Obama's first term as President of the United States
- Obama administration
- Obama Administration
- Obama Cabinet
- OBAMA CABINET
- Barack Obama Cabinet
Redirecting these pages to Presidential transition of Barack Obama implies that they are most relevant to that article. However, these article have little to do with the actual transition and are most applicable to Presidency of Barack Obama, whether it exists yet or not. Grsz11 →Review! 01:47, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
- Keep for now, in that these redirects will be useful in three months' time or so, and if deleted now will just have to be recreated then. They're not entirely appropriate at the moment, but I don't see the value in deleting now either. Terraxos (talk) 17:48, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- Keep Nothing really gained by deletion now. Anyone searching for these should end up at the transition page up until his term starts.--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 08:38, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
