Wikipedia:Devnull
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was delete. The general consensus is that this redirect was created by accident. I'm deleting without prejudice against future creation of a redirect from this title to another project page. Deryck C. 09:53, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Devnull → Wikipedia:Negotiation (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
I think this page exists at its current location entirely by accident. I see no relation between /dev/null and "Negotiation". power~enwiki (π, ν) 20:20, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment. It is unclear why the following edit was performed: [1]. The aforementioned edit was to move Wikipedia:Compromise, a redirect then and a redirect now, to Wikipedia:Devnull. (Pinging the editor of the aforementioned edit, Shock Brigade Harvester Boris.) Either way, with that being said, I believe that the edit history of Wikipedia:Devnull should be merged into Wikipedia:Compromise before Wikipedia:Devnull is deleted ... which is what I believe should happen (Merge edit history into Wikipedia:Compromise, then delete.) Steel1943 (talk) 12:16, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment I have no idea what the hell was going on there. Apparently there was some kind of overlap/conflict between the "compromise" and "negotiation" pages that I was trying to sort out. This was around the time of the infamous climate change arbitration case so maybe I got sidetracked before finishing it. Shock Brigade Harvester Boris (talk) 15:57, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- OHGOD. Thanks for the flashback, Shock Brigade Harvester Boris, now to revisit my nightmares. At any rate, not sure it's useful or funny enough to justify keeping the remnant of a histmerge, but I just have to suggest retargeting to Wikipedia:Deletion policy. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 16:17, 15 April 2018 (UTC)

- Dominion (2015 film) → Dominion (2016 film) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Because Dominion (2015 film) is a separate film and will be eventually be it's own page with this name. It is unrelated to the 2016 film with the same name. D Eaketts (talk) 15:48, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

- Super combo → Combo (video gaming) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
More of a Street Fighter term than a general one. Not mentioned in the article however, and lacks sources that aren't gameguidey. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 02:01, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- Retarget to SF as it is indeed mentioned there:
- All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 21:54, 24 March 2018 (UTC).
- Weak keep I'm seeing some articles referring to Super Combo as a brand of amplifier from Supro [2], some bands on Italian Wikipedia and Brazil [3]. But in video games, it can apply to other ones besides Street Fighter as with Dragon Ball Legends (phone app game) [4]. But Street Fighter V still mentions it [5] SNK Heroines "Basically, it is your super combo skill." [6] AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:07, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

- Comment Has this been used in food marketing? I found this article but that affirms the Street Fighter connection [7] I still have to question whether SF is the primary topic. I'm seeing other restaurants like Godfather's Pizza use the term. [8] AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:44, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
- Delete first result I get is food, super combo brisbane; searching google books gives mostly various food items - too vague, I don't think a quick mention in one sentence is the most useful target or primary- better to give search results Galobtter (pingó mió) 18:49, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- apparently also in X-Men_Legends, searching articles gives a lot of results.. Galobtter (pingó mió) 18:56, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

- Catgirls Online → Final Fantasy XIV (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Funny, but an obvious joke. This probably shouldn't point here... or anywhere. Especially since there are many other MMOs with catgirls. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 01:29, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Delete as vague at best --Lenticel (talk) 06:42, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Delete. Yep, other MMOs have "catgirls", such as Final Fantasy XI. Yep, that's not confusing at all. (Sarcasm.) Steel1943 (talk) 17:13, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

- Wikipedia:W → Wikipedia:Dashboard (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Don't single-letter redirects to the Wikipedia namespace get a little too ambiguous? If kept, should it become a dab? ««« SOME GADGET GEEK »»» (talk) 19:24, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- Delete - This seems vague to the point of making the redirect unhelpful. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 08:06, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

- Keep or retarget It was created to redirect to WP:Watch. Can consider to retarget--John123521 (Talk-Contib.) 07:24, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
Relisting comment: No clear consensus, and this is ancient enough to justify more discussion

- Retarget to Help:Watchlist: This is the most obvious retarget, in my opinion. E to the Pi times i (talk | contribs) 04:42, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Retarget to Help:Watchlist as per E to the Pi times i - We currently have WP:A, WP:B and WP:C and I assume we have the rest of the alphabet too so may aswell as W too. –Davey2010Talk 19:37, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep or maybe retarget but certainly not delete. Its very useful: instead of typing Wikipedia:Dashboard, I can just type WP:W. That's quite simpler and better. L293D (☎ • ✎) 01:03, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- Delete as too vague. The watchlist isn't the only thing on Wikipedia start starts with W. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 01:22, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

- Gang plank → Plank (wood) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
- Gang-plank → Plank (wood) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Should these be retargeted to Walking the plank? Steel1943 (talk) 00:22, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Retarget to gangway (nautical) as another term for the same thing. Alternatively, merge that into Disembarkation, where gangplank redirects to. In fact, embarkment and disembarkation can probably be combined into a single article as well.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 01:30, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Retarget to Gangway (nautical). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 14:01, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
