At a minimum, this should be retargeted to the main article Fathers of Confederation. But it's also seriously worth considering deletion. In past discussions, we've disfavored most redirects with "definition" in the title or similar (ex. 1, ex. 2). We tend to make exceptions, or at least split more meaningfully, for topics where there's substantive discussion about definitions (ex.). While Fathers of Confederation does define the term and has a note about other individuals that may be considered such, I don't believe this merits this awkward, Google-style redirect. As I write this, I've settled on delete as a first choice, but wouldn't oppose a simple retarget if there isn't consensus to delete. --BDD (talk) 19:53, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Delete – That is very awkward and the rationale to get rid of it is sound. Anyone hunting for "fathers of confederation" will be able to find that via autocomplete without needing the " definition" part tacked on. —Joeyconnick (talk) 20:20, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Delete. Wikipedia is not a search engine; the article says it all without the need to include "definition" while searching. ComplexRational (talk) 22:47, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Wrong year, presumably created in error. I nominated this for speedy deletion, not once but twice, but both were declined. ωικιωαrrιorᑫᑫ1ᑫ 18:37, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- The whole article says 1930. Can you provide sources that say 1940? Because right now I think the solution is a plate of trout and moving it back. Praxidicae (talk) 18:40, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Looking at this, it looks like it was originally published in 1930. The first book on the list says it was the third edition published in 1940. This should be moved back. ~ GB fan 18:50, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Delete and move the article back to the original title without leaving a redirect. The book was published in 1930, it received a Pulitzer prize in 1931 so it could not be originally published in 1940. see https://www.pulitzer.org/prize-winners-by-year/1931 ~ GB fan 01:16, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

Not mentioned in the target. Per this less-than-reliable source, it would seem that maybe Nimravidae is a more appropriate target? [1] signed, Rosguill talk 07:56, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Here in this book ("Classification of Mammals: Above the Species Level" By Malcolm C. McKenna, Susan K. Bell) on page 229, Nivraviscus [Kretzoi, 1945] is metioned as a synonym for genus Eofelis. The Explaner (talk) 10:14, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Not mentioned in the target, I couldn't verify in an internet search whether it has any relation to Nimravus. Delete unless a justification is provided. signed, Rosguill talk 07:53, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Obviously no one has called the Houthi movement the Yemeni mafia. SharabSalam (talk) 07:43, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Delete as confusing; this redirect may cause confusion with actual (or other, depending on your views) crime syndicates (which mafias are) in Yemen. Glades12 (talk) 17:35, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- I don't see any Yemeni entity listed at List of criminal enterprises, gangs, and syndicates, nor does the country have a subcat in Category:Organized crime by country. --BDD (talk) 20:20, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was speedy keep. Even if phrased as "weak", I think that the responses thus far suggest that this redirect could be useful. Withdrawing my nomination. (non-admin closure) signed, Rosguill talk 17:17, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

This doesn't seem like a useful disambiguator, delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 07:33, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Weak keep given that tarento itself is an article and there's two articles (Miho Yoshioka (tarento), Chiaki (tarento)) and a few other redirects with the same disambiguator. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 13:48, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Weak keep per above. There are few other redirects that use the same disambiguator and that tarento itself is already an article in its own right. Hansen SebastianTalk 15:20, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
