- Alpaca was obtained by post-training LLaMA 7B using a large number of sample conversations generated by ChatGPT. Although the process was not fully automated and used a human-produced seed of 175 inputs,[1] one can say that in a sense Alpaca was trained by ChatGPT. --Lambiam 20:56, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
