I am trying to find out who the R J Thompson who co-wrote His Was the Kingdom ("an anti-Baldwinite, pro-Beaverbrookish account of King Edward's abdication") with Frank Owen, the journalist and Liberal MP, was. In John Simpson's Unreliable Sources, and several other works, he is described as the editor of the Evening Standard, but he does not appear in the list of editors in our article.
