Is it possible to visualize myelin via MRI? For example, through this scanner in nerves? 2A02:908:424:9D60:CD01:7239:5D97:C3D8 (talk) 17:11, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- First thing that comes up googling "myelin MRI" is So You Want to Image Myelin Using MRI: An Overview and Practical Guide for Myelin Water Imaging. Although I am not entirely sure what you mean by "through this scanner in nerves," as I do not know what "this scanner" is supposed to mean. --OuroborosCobra (talk) 19:55, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- I suppose that "this scanner" means "this type of scanner", specifically an MRI scanner. So the more specific question is, can myelin in nerves be imaged through the use of an MRI scanner? --Lambiam 07:23, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Imaging myelin with MRI is a standard diagnostic method in case of multiple sclerosis. Ruslik_Zero 20:28, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
