- Supporting evidence: 4.23.83.100 is under investigation at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/4.23.83.100. Based on evidence provided on the preceding page, current consensus is that Objectiveye is 4.23.83.100's sock or login account. If this is true, then 4.23.83.100 was caught supporting his/her own edits using an alter-ego (namely, Objectiveye). Later, Manacpowers entered the SSP discussion defending 4.23.83.100, calling the investigation a personal attack, and immediately asserting that s/he was "not involved with Objectiveye". Refer to the SSP page for the full exchange and current evidence. We wish to confirm whether the username Objectiveye belongs to this IP user and whether Manacpowers is a separate party. - Please add Kuebie (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki). He also did identical edits as 4.23.83.100 and Manacpowers.Gaya confederacy,Baekje,Dojang,Tribute,Korean swordsmanship.--Bentecbye (talk) 09:38, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- User:Bentecbye (above) is very obviously an alternate account of somebody. First edit ever: [7] I have not figured out who, yet, but they appear to be engaged in a wiki battle.[8]Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets/Bentecbye. We may be dealing with two factions who are edit warring with each other using multiple accounts. Let's match them all up. Jehochman Talk 15:19, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have added 67.183.7.34. 67.183.7.34 is the one who added the information about Editing Agency of Korean History to Kumdo in the first place[9] and 4.23.83.100 added some more information about it and modified 67.183.7.34's edit soon after him/her[10]. The very same thing happend in Korean swordsmanship too[11][12]. The editing attitude of those two look alike too (edit one article many times[13][14]). Objectiveye supported his/her edit[15][16]. It seems to me that 4.23.83.100 went to somewhere like a library or an internet café and edited the article, and then modified it after he came back home. I don't know whether it is illegal or not. I don't know whether it can be proved or not either. But, at least, people will think that there are two persons who support the edit. Using more than 2 IPs is misleading if there is only one person.--Michael Friedrich (talk) 16:56, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- There is no account on 4.23.83.100, which is a business IP. Objectiveye and Kuebie live in the same city and use the same ISP but do not share IPs. It seems unlikely that they are the same person but likely that their edit patterns are not a coincidence.
- Ccpccp (talk · contribs), Bentecbye (talk · contribs), and Pabopa (talk · contribs) are
Confirmed the same editor.
- Manacpowers (talk · contribs), Spokecrowds (talk · contribs), Danceneveril (talk · contribs) and Newssports (talk · contribs) are
Confirmed as the same editor.
- Boobom (talk · contribs) and Mabemabe (talk · contribs) are
Confirmed as the same person.
- HISTORICAL POLICE 1009 (talk · contribs) is unrelated, but is
Likely on behavior to be another of the disruptive editors in the long-running Japan-Korea dispute. I've seen his ISP before but there is no other identifiable blocked user that I can find at the moment. Thatcher 03:22, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Isn't it possible to interpret Objectiveye and Kuebie are the same person and s/he has two computers? And 4.23.83.100 and Objevtiveye are so similar I cannot think they are different persons. Seems s/he etis wiki at office as 4.23.83.100 and at home as Objectiveye.--Michael Friedrich (talk) 05:02, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- The two editors have different stable IP addresses from the same provider. You might get this if one was an unsecured wireless router from the next door neighbor, but otherwise you would have to have one person paying for two separate DSL or cable lines going to their house or apartment. Your second theory is consistent with the evidence but can not be proven by technical analysis of the IPs. Thatcher 07:29, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- I am planning to indefinitely block the confirmed accounts, and issue friendly warnings to those who look like they are coordinating their editing to subvert consensus. Jehochman Talk 07:24, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- The accounts have been blocked and tagged, or warned. Jehochman Talk 08:30, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
