Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Fashion

This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Fashion or clothing. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Fashion|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Fashion or clothing. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Since retiring from acting in 2020 and marrying Mufti Anas Sayed, Sana Khan has not received any independent & substantive coverage in reliable sources, with only minor attention arising from her occasional controversial statements. She does not remain notable in any way now. + Article is full of promotional gebbrish tone. Chronos.Zx (talk) 01:16, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy keep: absolutely notable subject.

Defunct non notable clothing brand, lacking significant coverage in independent reliable secondary sources on the page or elsewhere. No information at WP:CORPDEPTH per the WP:NCORP guidelines. Tagged for 18 years. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 21:04, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Should be deleted because it lacks independent, reliable sources to establish notability as required by Wikipedia guidelines. Xrimonciam (talk) 08:06, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

!vote From an initial review, there appears to be a lack of secondary sources. However, the company is - in my view - notable. It is described in 2006 as "the United Kingdom's largest independent jeweller" in a Nominet ruling. It is described as a national jewellery retailer in a more recent 2023 legal judgment. It's last statutory accounts show a revenue of over £100m per year. I will attempt to complete a more thorough review of secondary sources to support notability. Keep I added the Nominet ruling as a citation, but struggled to find further secondary sources. However, in my view there is adequate references for a stub of this lenght. Salicia7 (talk) 15:33, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't seem like this one meets WP:GNG. The references are not SIGCOV and most of them don't seem like reliable sources. BuySomeApples (talk) 10:25, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A cleanup could be done of unreliable sources, instead of deleting the entire article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arkavirya (talkcontribs) 13:08, 20 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak Delete. The are all either not RS or not SIGCOV. Furthermore, the article is quite vague (e.g. "his parents were from two different continents") and certainly does not read as an encyclopaedic article. Overall, I'd say it could be saved if it wasn't for the questionable reliability of the sources, and the fact those are the best that seem to be available. • Delete. I believe there should be some coverage outside media only focused on the adult industry. That still leaves plenty of notable porn actors. gidonb (talk) 05:02, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
