El perfume del diablo: azufre, memoria y materialidades en el Alto Cielo
{{stale}}
Greetings, has someone access to this book? There should be a chapter mentioning Aucanquilcha and Ollagüe.
For Aucanquilcha and Ollagüe
@Jo-Jo Eumerus I got a PDF for a 2020 edition. There are 6 chapters in Segunda Parte. Arqueología e historia en Ollagüe, 'Part Two. Archaeology and History in Ollagüe' (pp. 199-390). Aucanquilcha is mentioned 46 times throughout the book. Is this still actual? — EmoryNB(they/them)talkcontribs 14:52, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
Hopefully it's alright if I just Wikimail you all the passages that mention Aucanquilcha, quoted with page numbers and already translated. Expect it this week. — EmoryNB(they/them)talkcontribs 16:22, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
I remember collecting them and sending something, but I may've forgotten, sorry. Sent you the full book onto your main account; it's OCRed, so you shouldn't have problems translating the passages in question as you need them. — EmoryNB(they/them)talkcontribs 04:58, 28 August 2026 (UTC)
@Jo-Jo Eumerus: You can confirm if this request has been resolved? MSTL (talk) 18:43, 5 September 2026 (UTC)
@Hellenyck: Please specify which page(s) you plan to improve with the requested resources. OhanaUnitedTalk page 00:15, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
@Hellenyck @OhanaUnited Article they're planning to improve James Mellaart, they just didn't wikilink. I'm afraid I couldn't find it in TWL or the Internet Archive RFNirmala (talk) 06:58, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
Unfortunately, #1 and #2 didn't seem to have been transcribed by the time their website shut down. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 16:00, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
I need the essay for a page-by-page citation, so I’d prefer a digital copy if possible. 𓊝 16:06, 8 August 2026 (UTC)
@Hellenyck: You indicated by your revert that this is not {{resolved}}, but volunteers have given you links above to all three of the items you requested - on academia.edu, megalodon.jp, and archive.org, respectively. No one will do anything more on this unless you explain what you still need. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:57, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
The linked PDFs from Mallet are revised digital versions of the original. I would like digital copies of the physical originals from 1990 ans 1992/93. I was already familiar with the linked borndigital versions of Mallet's essays. They are not sufficient for my purposes. 𓊝 07:21, 26 September 2026 (UTC)
Ok, i understand. I think that you can ask New York Wikipedian. They can request scanned copies using Library card and they can get pdf via mail. see nypl catalogue
@獅眠洞, thanks for the ping. I will check at the library tomorrow. signed, Aafi (guesthouse) 09:11, 20 August 2026 (UTC)
have you got it?? Mr.Lazy Guy (talk) 20:26, 28 August 2026 (UTC)
Hi @獅眠洞. Sorry. I haven't been feeling well, and completely missed on this. I will drop an update soon. signed, Aafi (guesthouse) 14:18, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
@Aafi, you may have forgotten something. Mr.Lazy Guy (talk) 08:23, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
For Zeila (historical region) looking specifically for the list of Zeila kings in the book, German university library (Universitätsbibliothek Gießen) apparently has it.
Thanks, Magherbin (talk) 04:20, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
@Magherbin For the Latin version, please see https://mdz-nbn-resolving.de/urn:nbn:de:bvb:12-bsb10219209-9. – Concerning the translation: a 32 page typoscript available at only one library worldwide ? I am wondering how reliable that work might be. Tricky anyway, as accessibility is restricted to usage inside the Giessen university library. FordPrefect42 (talk) 05:50, 9 September 2026 (UTC)
Google searches brought up that a kings list existed specifically however someone with a copy they found at Rimbaud's House & Museum in Harar stated there was no list, its likely the London copy alone has it. Maqrizi's work is heavily cited hence its reliable but the English translation is not popular usually academics just cite the direct Arabic primary source. Magherbin (talk) 02:38, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
@Magherbin: according to the catalogue entries, the Giessen copy has 32 pp., the London copy 33 pp. I don't know whether the one page makes the difference. If you are interested in the kings list alone, may I suggest that you contact SOAS archives directly? FordPrefect42 (talk) 05:42, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
Ok ill try that thanks Magherbin (talk) 19:29, 11 September 2026 (UTC)
No didnt get a reponse Magherbin (talk) 01:47, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
@Magherbin what is your expectation on how to proceed? I might try an ILL for the Giessen copy, but since you are suspecting yourself that the desired information is to be found in the SOAS copy only, that might turn out useless after all. On the other hand, Huntingford's translation is not officially published, and usually either the Arab original or Rink's Latin translation is cited. Do you see a chance to pull the information from one of these sources? Please advise -- FordPrefect42 (talk) 18:50, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
Can you try ILL for Giessen? Magherbin (talk) 19:23, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
Received. Thank you very much! Magherbin (talk) 21:40, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

For Draft:William Gill (surgeon). I think there is an entry for him on p148 or p154 or somewhere around there, and possibly a plate X - Google Books gives a tantalising glimpse, but not very consistently! Any pages pertaining to William Gill would be very gratefully received. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 12:38, 23 October 2026 (UTC)

Zig-zagging Round the World: A Record of Three Years' Wandering in the British Empire and Other Lands,
Greetings, has someone access to "McEwan, Robert D. Zig-zagging Round the World: A Record of Three Years' Wandering in the British Empire and Other Lands, 1919-1922. Hutchinson, 1922."? I suspect it's PD as an old book.
For Ampato
@Jo-Jo Eumerus: The only mention is a passing one in one paragraph on page 77:
We landed on the Peruvian side at Puno in the early morning, with a lovely sunrise, and soon reached Juliaca (Hooley-acca), where the railway to Cuzco branches, and our line for the coast rose over the Andes, the cumber or saddle being at Alto Crucero, 14,666 feet above sea level. En route we passed streams, whose course to the sea was 5,000 miles long, finishing when the Amazon enters the Atlantic. Two lakes, Laginullas and Sarococha, are passed shortly before reaching the summit, from which there is a rapid descent of nearly 7,000 feet to Arequipa. On the way down the dominating heights are Coropuno and Ampato; each well over 20,000 feet, and there are as guards over Arequipa to the south Pichu Pichu, in the middle Al Misti (known as the Fuji of Peru), and to the north Chachani.
with no limits of reading. Is it OK for you? Nicar1 (talk) 14:40, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
It is, but from Worldbruce's comment it seems like it would not be useful. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 14:14, 31 October 2026 (UTC)
Die silbernen Götter des Cerro Gallan
Greetings, has someone access to "Rebitsch, Mathias. Die silbernen Götter des Cerro Gallan: Erlebnisse zweier Anden-Expeditionen. Nymphenburger Verlagshandlung, 1957." (OCLC 163759698) I already asked it a few weeks ago but it turns out, it may have mentions of Ampato too.
Greetings, has someone access to "Bray, Tamara. "The role of chicha in Inca state expansion: a distributional study of Inca aríbalos." Drink, power, and society in the Andes (2009): 108-132."? I need that particular chapter.
For Ampato
Requesting the full text. I'm assessing what it says about Brian Lane Winfield
Moore and Mike Lacher for Draft:Brian Lane Winfield Moore — specifically
whether either is a substantive subject of the piece or only mentioned in
passing, which determines whether it can support the draft's notability case.

For Architecture Studio (Lego). The article is currently awaiting GA review and access to these articles will most likely be needed. The GA reviewer may also want a copy.
