• WikiProject Tropical cyclones was formed on October 4, 2005, by User:Jdorje
• The project has 111 active editors currently, which is the peak amount of editors it has ever had. (21:25, 23 November 2020 (UTC))
  • The longest lasting member is User:Hurricanehink, who has been a part of the WikiProject since its inception in 2005.

• Winter Performance – WikiProject Tropical cyclones statistically performs better during the northern hemisphere winter months than during any other season; since December 2012, the project's relative Wikiwork dropped by 0.13 during the winter. By contrast, the project performs worst during the fall months, with a much lower drop of 0.037. This may be due to the prevalence of attention towards storms in the northern hemisphere, which tend to form from August to October and thus accounting for the lesser drop.
• Hink Driven – The Tropical cyclones WikiProject averages a -0.022 Wikiwork drop on months in which Hurricanehink makes over 200 edits as opposed to -0.013 when this is not the case.
