Andy Stanton

Andy Stanton (s. 14. marraskuuta 1973 Lontoo, Englanti) on brittiläinen lastenkirjailija, joka tunnetaan Herra Gummi -romaanien sarjasta. Stanton opiskeli Oxfordin yliopistossa englannin kieltä sekä Manchester Metropolitan Universityssä kuvitustaidetta.

Stanton on kirjoittanut yhdeksän Herra Gummi -romaania (engl. Mr Gum), ja niistä kahdeksan on suomennettu. Romaanit on kuvittanut David Tazzyman ja suomentanut Jaana Kapari-Jatta. Romaaneja on luonnehdittu surreaalisiksi ja anarkistisiksi, ja niille on myönnetty useita kirjallisuuspalkintoja (mm. Blue Peter Book Award, Red House Children’s Book Award). Stanton on saanut vaikutteita muiden muassa Roald Dahlilta ja Enid Blytonilta. — Stanton vieraili Suomessa syksyllä 2015.
