Calorodius thorntonensis is een reptiel uit de familie van de skinken (Scincidae).

Naam en indeling

De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst voorgesteld door Allen Eddy Greer in 1983 als Calyptotis thorntonensis. De soort wordt sinds 2022 in een eigen geslacht geplaatst: Calorodius, waarin het de enige soort is.

Verspreiding en leefgebied

De soort komt alleen voor in noordoostelijk Australië.
