Cyphogastra Utseende
Middelsstore til ganske store, blankt metalliske praktbiller . Slekten kan kjennes på at dekkvingene er langt tilspisset, på undersiden er thorax dypt hvelvet, men bakkroppen smalner bratt oppover slik at billens bakende også blir spiss sett fra siden.
Levevis
Som hos de fleste andre praktbiller utvikler larvene seg i død ved.
Utbredelse
Slekten er utbredt i Sørøst-Asia, særlig Indonesia .
Systematisk inndeling
Cyphogastra angulicollis Cyphogastra farinosa Cyphogastra gloriosa Cyphogastra semipurpurea furupraktbiller (Chrysochroinae) blir noen ganger plassert som en stamme i underfamilien Buprestinae .
