Polyetnisitet Polyetnisitet er folk fra forskjellig etnisk bakgrunn innenfor samme land eller spesifikt innenfor en region. Begrepet refererer også til individers vilje til å identifisere seg selv med flere etniske grupper. Polyetnisitet inntreffer når flere etniske grupper bebor et gitt område, spesifikt gjennom immigrasjon , giftemål mellom raser , handel , millitære erobringer og landinndelinger etter en krig. Dette har hatt mange politiske og sosiale implikasjoner for land og regioner.
